From Research of Anders Anerud [edited]:

"Niles Rabenius was not a quiet clergyman. On the contrary, he was very forward. When he heard that King Karl XI should pass his farm in Munktorp parish on his way to Kungsör, a royal farm; Rabenius dressed himself in his black coat and white collar ans started to plow the field alongside the road while reciting his upcoming sermon. When the king saw the preacher behind the plow, he called upon him and asked if his parish was so poor that he had to work the fields himself. The king told him to tell the Vicar that Rabenius should come to the royal court at Kungsör the next Sunday to preach. This launched his career."

"Sometimes he had conflicts with his parishoners at Hedemora and there are many stories about him from his days at military headquarters. The sad thing about Rabenius is that around 1930 it was discovered that he had been Sweden's greatest forger of medieval documents. Some parts of Sweden's history had to be rewritten. All Swedish historians know Rabenius." [Note: His fraud was unearthed in 1927.]
